WATCH: Shock foggy start to Day 3 at Ploughing but a glorious twist is coming

Almost 100,000 people attended Day 2 of the Ploughing on Wednesday and a similar crowd is expected on Thursday

There was a shock foggy start on the weather front on Day 3 at the Ploughing on Thursday but Met Éireann has said the sun will shine.

Attendees this week have enjoyed temperatures in the low 20s with Met Éireann similarly predicting highs of 24C on Thursday.

They said: "Areas of mist and fog will clear later this morning. It will be a dry day with long spells of sunshine, turning hazy at times later. Highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees generally, but a little cooler near the east coast due to a light to moderate easterly breeze."
