Why they won: All the winners from the Donegal Sports Star Awards profiled

There was a full house for the 48th Donegal Sports Star, where Donegal manager Jim McGuinness was the special guest on a night where there were 161 nominees in over 40 categories


The Winner was Jasmine Barrett Doherty, Scoil Mhuire, Milford. Jasmine excelled in schools competitions as well as for her club, Finn Valley A/C. Over the past year, while competing for Scoil Mhuire Jasmine has won Gold at both Milford A/C’s Primary Schools Cross Country and at the School’s County Finals in Buncrana. And the successes kept on coming as Jasmine won the 600M and High Jump at the Schools Track and Field County Finals. So a total of seven Gold Medals, showing just how outstanding an athlete Jasmine is. Jasmine is an inspiration also to her classmates, always encouraging those around her in everything they do.
