Naomh Naille into Junior Gaeltacht final after thrilling game against An Ceathru Rua

The Parish of Inver club will now play Clann na Gael from Meath in the final on Monday
It took a great all-round display from Naomh Naille to overcome Galway representatives An Ceathru Rua to reach the Comórtas Peil na Gaeltachta junior final in Rath Cairn, Meath on Sunday.
The sides were level going into the final 10 minutes but the Parish of Inver side prevailed with Thomas White getting the clinching score.
But it was an all-round display from Naomh Naille with all of their forward line and midfield getting on the scoreboard.
The sides were level at 0-6 each at the break but that was thanks to the heroic efforts of Naomh Naille ‘keeper Cathal Lowther, who saved a first half penalty.
Indeed Lowther was called into action a number of times and cut out another move in the last play of the game to deny An Ceathru Rua a late goal chance.
Naomh Naille were a point behind midway through the second half but got back on track at 0-9 each. Then came the first goal of the contest with Michael Coughlan finding the net but almost immediately An Ceathru Rua hit back with a goal of their own. But Naomh Naille prevailed with the last two scores.
