U-13 coach and local teacher Stephen Doherty says: 'Sessions are open to all abilities but we are especially looking to encourage beginners or those who may have tried it in the past and want to give it another go.'
Starting this evening, Thursday March 2, Letterkenny Gaels will be holding Hurling taster sessions for boys born in 2010 and 2011.
Assistant Coach, Jason Toby added "the drop off rate in sports amongst pre and early teens is something every parent should be concerned about. We want to offer another option for kids in a zero-pressure environment".
The taster sessions will run for 6 weeks starting 6pm Thursday 2nd March at Sweeney's Astros (formerly Boal's Goals) and will cost €25 per child.
You can register at online here. For more information contact Stephen on 0860763903 or Jason 0834577762.
Stephen urges parents to register through the link but will also welcome those who want to turn up on the day to see what it's all about.
