Yellow rain warning issued for Donegal with a risk of flooding

Blustery conditions are in store, with a marine warning for Force 6 (50kph) winds also in effect until Thursday
A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for Donegal ahead of a spell of heavy rain expected overnight and into Wednesday.
The warning, issued by Met Éireann, comes into effect at 2am on Wednesday and remains in place until 2pm.
Forecasters are warning of unseasonably blustery conditions with spells of heavy rain, particularly in coastal areas and on higher ground.
The weather is expected to bring difficult travelling conditions, spot flooding and disruption to outdoor events and activities.
Motorists are being urged to take extra care on the roads, particularly in areas prone to surface water and localised flooding.
The warning applies to all of County Donegal.
A marine small craft warning is also in place, with Met Éireann warning of west and northwesterly winds reaching force six or higher - sustained speeds of around 50 kilometres per hour - on Donegal's coastal waters.
That warning came into effect on Tuesday afternoon, and extends until 5am on Thursday morning.
