Parking appeal to people attending Letterkenny Summer Sessions

Kneecap will be performing at this years Summer Sessions in Letterkenny

Gardaí have drawn up a traffic management plan for the upcoming  Letterkenny Summer Sessions.

Artists such as Belfast rap trio Kneecap will be playing Summer Sessions this week in Letterkenny between Thursday to Sunday.

In order to ensure as little disturbance to local stakeholders and residents as possible, Gardaí will be adopting a zero tolerance approach to parking infringements in the surrounding areas of the venue.

“Patrons are asked not to park on the N56 (Ballyraine to Knocknamona roundabout), Gortlee road, Kiltoy road or in any other area which may cause disruption to local residents and to not park in an illegal manner and ensure that you are not blocking access for emergency service” states Claire Rafferty of Milford Garda Station.

“Gardaí in Letterkenny are working closely with the organisers of the event and other state agencies to ensure that it is a success. Their main priority is to ensure that everyone attending has a safe and enjoyable time.”

Several park and ride services will be available which are being organised by event management and these should be utilised where possible. These services will be advertised on all of the Summer Sessions Social Media pages.
