It'll be warm and mainly sunny in Donegal today, Wednesday the sunshine hazy for a time in places.

Some showers are possible during the afternoon and evening, with these mostly likely further west, and a few could be heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms. However, the showers will be hit and miss, with many areas escaping. Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees in mainly light south to southeasterly breezes.

Any showers or thunderstorms will ease and die away early tonight and most places will be dry and clear for a time. Thickening cloud in the northwest will start to extend southeastwards overnight, along with patchy outbreaks of light rain or drizzle. There'll be some mist and hill and coastal fog too. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light variable breezes becoming light northerly towards dawn.

Tomorrow, Thursday, will start out mostly cloudy with a little patchy light rain and drizzle along with some mist and fog. However, clearer, sunnier conditions will spread from the northwest for the afternoon. It'll feel much cooler than recently with highest temperatures 12 to 17 degrees in light to moderate northerly winds, coolest in northern parts of the province.
