Becoming wet and windy this morning in Donegal with rain extending northeastwards and turning heavy in places.

Southeasterly winds will increase strong and gusty with gales at times. The rain will give way to scattered showers through the evening, as winds ease moderate to fresh southerly. Some of the showers will be heavy. Highest afternoon temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.

Tonight will bring a good deal of cloud overall with scattered showers and with more persistent rain in parts. There'll be some clear drier spells too. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees with mostly light to moderate southerly winds.

Tomorrow, Saturday, will be bring scattered showers and limited bright or sunny spells, with more persistent rain likely later. Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in mostly light to moderate southwest winds, freshening a little later.
