Early this morning, it will be dry and very cold in many parts of the county with frost and ice, Met Éireann say.
Persistent or heavy rain and strong, gusty southeast winds will spread northeastwards through the late morning and early afternoon.
Scattered heavy showers will follow as rain clears northwards. Winds will become southerly and ease somewhat. Highest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees.
Tonight scattered showers will continue to push up from the south. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees with mostly moderate to fresh, gusty southerly winds.
Monday will be a blustery day with further spells of rain or showers. There will be some dry and bright spells too. Fresh and gusty southerly winds will ease and become variable for a time and will then become fresh to strong northwesterly during the evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees.
