This morning, rain will spread eastwards across Donegal.
Sunshine and scattered showers will follow from late morning onwards. Showers will become isolated this evening. Moderate to fresh southwest winds will become westerly as rain clears. Highest temperatures of 8 or 9 degrees.
Tonight will start off mainly dry. Towards midnight, rain and drizzle will develop in the northwest and will spread southeastwards across the region overnight. Showers will follow into western areas by dawn. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees with southwesterly winds increasing fresh to strong and gusty.
Saturday will be windy with sunny spells and blustery showers, some heavy. Westerly winds will be fresh to strong, gusty westerly winds which will reach gale force at times in coastal areas. Afternoon temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees.
