Met Eireann have said: 'Heavy rain coupled with strong and gusty southerly winds, especially in exposed areas. The potential impacts are localised flooding, damage to temporary structures and difficult travelling conditions with poor visibility'

Yellow weather warning for Donegal on Sunday and Monday with wind and heavy rain

Donegal is one of five western counties with a yellow - moderate weather - warning for Sunday.

Met Eireann has said: “Heavy rain coupled with strong and gusty southerly winds, especially in exposed areas. The potential impacts are ocalised flooding, damage to temporary structures and difficult travelling conditions with poor visibility.”

The warning is valid from Sunday, August 4, at 1pm for 24 hours till Monday, August 5. The other affected areas are Clare, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo
