Met Éireann say Donegal in line for clear, dry Tuesday with the occasional shower

Met Éireann has forecast a typical Spring Tuesday for Donegal, with sunshine and showers.

Any lingering rain will clear from the east early this morning to leave a mainly dry and bright day with some spells of sunshine and a few showers. It'll be a breezy day, with a moderate to fresh northwesterly wind, which will ease later. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.

Mainly dry for much of tonight, but rain and drizzle will spread from the west later on, becoming heavy at times. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees early on, but becoming milder later in freshening south to southeast winds.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be dull and misty with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heavy at times, especially in the west with some localised flooding. There'll be some hill and coastal fog too. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees in a moderate to fresh southwesterly wind, stronger in western coastal parts.
