Met Éireann has extended its Status Yellow Weather Warning for thunderstorms until 9pm tonight.
Thunder has been heard in a number of places around the county accompanied by rain.

Hail and spot flooding are also forecast.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across the country this afternoon and evening.
There will be showers in areas this evening but it is expected to remain mostly dry.
