It's a big week ahead for Donegal school football as both Scoil Mhuire Buncrana and the Abbey Vocational School will play in their respective National Cup semi-finals.

Both schools will also lock horns with Mayo sides as the Abbey Vocational School will play their FAI Schools Tom Ticher Junior National Cup U-17 semi-final on Tuesday against Rice College Wesport at 1pm in Ray MacSharry Park after the Donegal Town school won the Ulster Final against Loretto College Milford in Letterkenny on a 1-0 scoreline.

At U-19 level, Scoil Mhuire Buncrana will contest their Dr Tony O’Neill Senior National Cup semi-final at the same venue as the AVS on Thursday against St Gerald’s College, Castlebar at 1pm.

The Buncrana school were heavy favourites in last week's Ulster final against Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair but were really put to the test as the game exceeded 120 minutes of football and had to be decided on penalties.
