Fatal road incident involving scrambler bike leaves man in his 20s dead

A young man has died following a fatal, single-vehicle road collision involving a scrambler bike.

Gardaí attended the scene of a fatal incident involving a scrambler bike that occurred at approximately 2:10pm this Thursday, on the Phibblestown Road, Castaheaney, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
 
The driver of the scrambler bike, a male in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road was closed for a time and a technical examination was conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators. It has since re-opened.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
 
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Phibblestown Road area of Dublin 15 between 1:45pm and 2:15pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
