Sean Patton has signed for English League One side Reading from Derry City.
The Drumkeen native will join the London-based club on a permanent basis, for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old came through the Finn Harps Academy before moving to Derry City, where he made his debut at 16.
Patton, who just completed his Leaving Certificate at St Eunan's College in Letterkenny, returned to Finn Harps on loan in 2024, scoring on his debut.
A Republic of Ireland Under-19 International, Patton played 11 times in the Premier Division for the Candystripes this season before making the switch to Reading.
The Royals currently sit 17th in League One after six games and finished seventh last season, one spot behind Leyton Orient in the final play-off spot.

Derry City manager Tiernan Lynch wished the striker every success on his move and said:
"Sean is the type of player who gives you everything, whether that is in training or a game and he obviously has his whole career ahead of him.
"He's done well for us this season and we're delighted to see him get this opportunity.
"On behalf of everyone at Derry City I want to wish him every success on his move to Reading."
