It has been announced that the new Donegal Junior Soccer season will kick-off on the weekend of August 31/ September 1.

The new 2024/’25 season will be starting with its old traditional format by commencing the new football year with the Brian McCormick and Voodoo Venue Cup competitions.

These competitions will be on a straight forward knock-out basis with Area Shield Finals, with the four winners going through to the semi-finals later in the season.

It will be Letterkenny Rovers who will defend the Brian McCormick Cup after winning it on a 4-3 scoreline in Ballyare back in May after a thrilling contest with Keadue Rovers, while Strand Rovers will defend the Voodoo Venue Cup after they won it earlier in the year with victory over Drumbar United.

Taking to social media this evening the Donegal Junior League announced that the make-up of the League Divisions is almost complete with only a few items to get sorted before they can announce the final list of games in each league.
