Finn Harps players Sean Patton and Matt Makinson have made the cut for the latest SSE Airtricity League Team of the Week following their side’s win over Kerry FC last week.

Teenager Patton netted his debut goal as Finn Harps overcame Kerry at Finn Park on Thursday evening.

Patton's goal after 36 minutes proved the decisive strike as Harps returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory.

Patton was handed his Harps debut, the 17-year-old from Drumkeen having been recruited on loan from Derry City earlier in the week. Patton has signed a three-year deal at Derry and the former Harps Academy prospect didn't take too long to announce his arrival.

Makinson takes up the position at centre-back on the Team of the Week as he held his side to a clean sheet.

Finn Harps are currently in fourth position on 34 points, two points behind UCD and three behind Athlone Town in second position.
