The tournament, co-ordinated by Finn Harps Academy coach Dessie McGlinchey, was sponsored by Arena 7.

Day one saw 7s' stalwarts Gaelscoil Adhamhnáin, Scoil Cholmcille and St. Patrick's NS Lurgybrack compete against first time entrants Sessiaghoneill NS, Raphoe Central NS, Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál and Scoil Mhuire, Milford.

After a frantic first day of football, the girls of St. Patrick's NS Lurgybrack and Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál qualified for the county final.

The standard of girls' football continues to rise yearly.

Five series of matches were played over the course of the day, with the bare minimum separating the competing school, such was the standard.
