Shane Blaney scored his first Motherwell goal on Tuesday night in a dramatic 2-2 draw with St Johnstone in the Scottish Premier League.

Blaney led the charge as Motherwell came from 2-0 down at McDiarmaid Park.

The 24-year-old joined The Steelmen in January from Sligo Rovers. Blaney caught the eye with a superb free kick against Motherwell in 2022 in the Europa Conference League in 2022.

St Johnstone looked to be home and hosed when Nicky Clark and Andy Considine gave them a 2-0 lead in the first half.

However, Blaney powered in a header in the 68th minute. The former Finn Harps and Doncaster Rovers player’s goal sparked the fightback and Mika Biereth secured a point.
