Dave Rogers has not ruled out making further additions to his Finn Harps squad before Wednesday’s deadline.

Harps went down 2-1 in Friday’s First Division opener at Finn Park on a night when eleven players were given first appearances for the club.

Rogers fielded nine debutants from the start and new faces will have to tick a variety of boxes for the new Harps boss.

“We’re always looking, but I won’t just go out and bring anyone in,” Rogers told Donegal Live.

“People who come here have to be committed to the club, committed to Donegal and committed to what we’re doing on and off the pitch.”

Tim Hiemer, Daithi McCallion, Ellis Farrar, Ryan Flood, Caoimhin Porter, Katlego Mashingo, Séamas Keogh, Michael Harris and Daniel Okutwe all started for the first time while there were debuts off the bench for Cian Lynch and Filip Da Silva.

Rogers has cast the net wide to put together a squad from scratch following his appointment.

He said: “We’re always looking. We have until Wednesday We will try to bring bodies in, but not for the sake of it. They have to fit into the dressing room and fit into the values we have.”
