Shane Blaney of Sligo Rovers in action during the Uefa Europa Conference League clash against Motherwell ak Fir Park
Letterkenny native Shane Blaney will make his debut this afternoon for Motherwell, as they take on Arbroath in the Scottish Cup fourth round tie.
Arbroath supporters have helped ensure today's fixture went ahead as they turned up at Gayfield this morning to help remove covers that has been paid down last week to save the pitch in the wintery conditions.
The central defender joined the Scottish Premiership club in the New Year and has been on the bench thus far. he moved to Doncaster in 2018 after breaking through at Finn Harps and spent two seasons at Sligo Rovers.
Last summer, Blaney, 23, scored a cracking free kick when Sligo defeated Motherwell 2-0 in the Europa Conference League at the Showgrounds.
