Letterkenny RFC U-18s went away to Coleraine at the weekend and came away with an impressive 16-point victory.

Charlie Wheeler crossed the line twice for the visitors while Jack Robinson added another.

Jamie O’Carroll then sealed it with a try of his own.

Rory O’Brien was on fire with a one hundred percent kicking rate, landing four conversions and a penalty to help secure the win. This was a fantastic team effort and well-deserved win.

Elsewhere, the U-16s fell short in a real nail-biter as Coleraine took a 12-7 win in the day’s curtain-raiser.

Despite dominating possession and territory in the first half, the away team just couldn’t fully capitalise on their opportunities against the hosts’ resilient defense.

The second half saw the home side take a 12-point lead. Letterkenny fought back hard in the final 15 minutes, showing great determination but just fell short in this tight encounter.

Ronan McFadden grabbed a try while the conversion was landed by Conal Herron.

Finally, the U-14s brought the day to a close on a positive note as took a 40-0 victory back down the road against the same opposition.
