Dylan Browne McMonagle was victorious on Black Forza
Young Donegal jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle achieved a remarkable victory in his debut race at Goodwood Racecourse in the UK as he steered Black Forza to triumph in the Richmond Stakes.
Under the guidance of trainer Michael O’Callaghan, Black Forza initially seemed to lag behind but surged ahead in the final stages to secure a narrow win. With odds of 9-1, Black Forza surpassed the favourite, The Striking Viking.
This marked McMonagle’s first success at Goodwood, and he shared his thoughts with ITV Racing saying: “It was my first ride here too so it’s a good start. These are the meetings you want to be riding winners at.”
