Shane Lowry will tee off at 1.45 pm in the final round of the British Open as he aims to put a horrible performance on Saturday behind him.

The Offaly golfer lost his lead and is now in 9th place overall, on -1 for the tournament so far.

However, he is crucially just three shots off the lead, despite a poor third round score of 77.

He will play with Adam Scott in the final round.

Lowry is the best placed of the Irish, with next closest being veteran golfer Padraig Harrington who is tied for 25th, on 3 over.

The selected tee times are:

1345 – Adam Scott, Shane Lowry
1355 – Scottie Scheffler, Daniel Brown
1405 – Justin Rose, Xander Schauffele
1415 – Russell Henley, Sam Burns
1425 – Thriston Lawrence, Billy Horschel

The weather forecast for the day predicts dry weather with some brighter spells developing and only a very slight chance of a light shower. Winds gusting between 18-22mph from 10am onwards.
