Letterkenny dart players Jack and Shane Porter
Donegal brothers Shane and Jack Porter hailing from Letterkenny, have secured coveted spots on the Irish Youth Darts Team for the upcoming WDF World Masters competition.
This October, they will proudly represent their country, standing as the sole representatives from Donegal at this esteemed event. The venue is yet to be confirmed.
Raised by Gerald and Noreen Porter, Shane and Jack are both integral members of the Donegal Youth Team. Their stellar performances at last November's Irish Open and Irish Classic finals in Killarney clinched their tickets to the world stage.
Notably, the 2022 winner of the same tournament was none other than the professional darts player, Luke Littler.
Taking to social media, Jack shared his exhilaration at the news. “Can’t believe this. This evening, I got the news that me and five other Irish youth players, including my brother Shane, will be going to the WDF World Masters in October,” he said.
“It will be somewhere in Europe, can’t wait and all that practice has finally paid off. So happy, and well done to the other Irish who qualified.”
Furthermore, Shane, who currently captains the Donegal Youth Team, will stand as the sole representative from the county at the Europe Youth Cup in Latvia later this year.
