Brendan Boyce has been selected to compete at the European Race Walking Team Championships.
The Finn Valley AC race walker is one of six athletes chosen by Athletics Ireland for the Championships, which will take place in Podebrady, Czech Republic, on May 21.
Boyce is based in Cork and coached by 2013 World Championship gold and 2012 Olympic bronze medallist.
The Milford native competed at the Olympic Games in 2012, 2016 and 2021, finishing 10th at the Games in Tokyo two years ago.
Boyce will complete in the 20k event in Podebrady.
Boyce previously competed in the 50k race walk before the removal of the longer distance.
This European Race Walking Team Championships is a key event on the calendar, before walkers turn their attention to this summers major championships.
