Donegal's competitors at Saturday's rally included a class win for Carndonagh's Enda McBride

Paddy Robinson seventh at Circuit of Ireland Rally

Paddy Robinson and Desi Henry tackle the Circuit of Ireland Rally.

Kilmacrennan co-driver Paddy Robinson was seventh overall at the 2023 Milburn Concrete Circuit of Ireland Rally on Saturday.

Robinson called the notes for Desi Henry in the Citroën C3 Rally2. They were 1.8 seconds off the sixth-placed crew, Robert Bearable and Gordon Noble.

Letterkenny man Rory Kennedy, on board again with Gary Jennings in a Ford Fiesta Rally2, was in ninth spot.

The all-Donegal crew of Joseph McGonigle from Muff and Falcarragh’s Ciaran Geaney finished 11th overall in a Ford Fiesta Rally2.

County Derry’s Callum Devine, with Noel O’Sullivan from Killarney on the notes in a GTI R5 Volkswagen Polo, won the event, with 10.2 seconds to spare on the Hyundai i20 R5 of Josh Moffatt and Andy Hayes, who were the number 1 seeds.

Carndonagh man Enda McBride, with Kyle McDaid from Buncrana as co-driver, won his class in a Honda Civic.

Kevin Eves from Pettigo, in a Toyota Corolla Twin Cam, concluded second in his class and 12th overall.

The all-Inishowen crew of Aaron McLaughlin and Darren Curran were in 15th overall in a Fiesta R5.

Mountcharles’ Joseph Kelly was third in his class, with Ronan Comerford riding shotgun in the Peugeot 208.
