Almost 250,000 people attend National Ploughing Championships in County Laois

Following this week's hugely successful National Ploughing Championships, which attracted 244,000 visitors, the focus now turns to 2025 with the new venue yet to be announced.

Ratheniska in County Laois has hosted the event since 2021 and The National Ploughing Association has confirmed that it will take place elsewhere in 2025.

While there has been else nothing official as to the venue in 12 months' time, the speculation at the Ploughing throughout this week was that Tullamore in County Offaly is the strong favourite to host next year's National Ploughing Championships.
