The line-up for this week’s Late Late Show on RTÉ One has been revealed, promising a mix of music, sport and big-name guests.
There will be no frontiers as the show honours folk music legend Mary Black in a special episode.
The singer will perform two of her best-known songs, “Katie” and “Carolina Rua”, while her son, The Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly, will also be in studio. Her daughter, fellow singer Róisín O, will perform a track she wrote for her mother.
Those who know and love Mary best will pay tribute to her in a special montage, with a big surprise from a very famous face also promised.
Mary will also speak about the recent passing of her friend and fellow music legend Dolores Keane.

Coleen Rooney will join Patrick Kielty on the couch, where the TV personality, author and businesswoman will chat about her life in the media, her marriage to footballer Wayne Rooney, her Irish connections and her latest venture into fashion.
Ahead of Ireland’s crucial World Cup 2026 clash against Czechia next Thursday, former international Jason McAteer will be live in the studio.
He will reflect on lining out for Ireland in two World Cups, his career on the pitch and burying the hatchet with former teammate Roy Keane.
There will also be a special treat for viewers, with one lucky audience member set to win two tickets to the sold-out game in Prague, giving them the chance to cheer on the Boys in Green in the Fortuna Arena.
This and lots more on Friday night's The Late Late Show at 9.35pm on RTÉ One.
