Teenager in critical condition after car crash in Galway

A teenager is in a critical condition in hospital after a car crash in Co Galway on Sunday.

The incident took place on the Ballygaddy Road in Tuam at about 6.05pm on Sunday.

The injured teenager, a female driver of one of the cars, was taken to University Hospital Galway.

The driver and passenger of the second car, a male in his 20s and a female in her 30s, were treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The scene has been technically examined.

An appeal for witnesses or those with information has been issued.

Gardai are also asking those who may have camera footage to make this footage available to the investigation.
