William Cogan was reported missing from the Clare Street area of Limerick city on Friday afternoon
Searches to locate a teenage boy who was reported missing in Limerick cityover the weekend have been stood down, gardai have confirmed.
An urgent public appeal for assistance was issued on Sunday by gardai who were seeking to located William Cogan.
In the appeal, they said the 16-year-old, who was last seen at around 3.30pm on Friday, was subsequently reported as missing.
In an update issued late on Sunday night, gardai confirmed there had been a positive outcome.

"William Cogan, 16, who was reported missing from Clare Street, Limerick city on Friday, June 6 2025, has been located safe and well," said a spokesperson.
No further details have been disclosed publicly, but gardai have thanked members of the public and the media for their assistance during the appeal.
