The late Rosi
A YOUNG Brazilian woman living in Limerick has died after falling off a building in Vietnam.
Rosi (Rosimeiry) Franco, aged 30, who had been living in Limerick for a number of years, died in Thủ Đức, Vietnam.
It is understood the young woman fell off an 17-storey apartment building in the Vietnamese district while on a visit. An investigation is ongoing to determine the nature of the incident.
Her family have been in touch with the Vietnamese authorities and have been updating her Limerick friends with the latest information.
While awaiting an update from the local authorities, Rosi’s friends have set up a GoFundMe campaign to help repatriate her body home and help the family through these difficult times. You can donate to the fundraiser here.
Rosi worked as a sales and marketing specialist for the Ned College, and also worked on content creation for a popular Limerick bar.
Since the tragic news broke in, tributes have been pouring in for Rosi, who has been described as a glowing young woman who always had a smile on her face.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share the tragic news of our beloved friend Rosi, who recently passed away under heartbreaking circumstances. Our hearts are deeply saddened by this loss, and we are committed to honouring Rosi's memory by ensuring she is reunited with her family,” said her friend Suellen Oliveira, who set up the fundraiser.
“Rosi was a cherished part of our lives, always bringing joy and kindness to those around her. Her family, who live modestly and are facing significant financial challenges, desperately wish to have Rosi brought back home for a proper farewell.”
In this “time of grief”, her friends have reached out to their community for support.
“We need to raise funds to cover the cost of transporting Rosi back to her family, so they can say their final goodbyes and find some solace in this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and help ease the burden on Rosi's family. If you can find it in your heart to assist, please consider donating to our cause. Your generosity will forever be remembered and appreciated by Rosi's family and all of us who loved her.”
“My baby Rosimeire, may God receive you in his arms. I am so grateful to have encountered this craziness in this adventure we call life. You will always be in my memory and in my heart! I love you,” wrote one of her best friends in tribute.
Limerick Live has reached out to the Vietnamese authorities.
May she rest in peace.
