A march in solidarity with Israel is due to take place this weekend.
That's according to the Ireland Israel Alliance (IIA), which today (May 22) confirmed groups including the All Nations Church will join them at the demonstration this Sunday (May 26).
In a post published on X (formerly Twitter), the IIA stated, "Join us! Dublin Solidarity March and Rally for Israel. Delighted that All Nations Church will join us and other cross-community organisations to take a stand this weekend!"
Demonstrators will meet at Stephen's Green (Harcourt Street end) from 3pm and march to Dáil Éireann, where there will be key speakers.
People interested in attending are encouraged to bring both Israeli and Irish flags.
Earlier today, the IIA issued a statement titled 'Ireland Rewards Palestinian Terrorism with a State' in response to Ireland's decision to recognise Palestinian statehood.
It reads, "Today is a very sad day for Ireland-Israel relations and indeed for the nation of Ireland, as almost 8 months since the horrors of October 7th, our political leaders have decided the reward for Palestinian terrorism should be the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state.
"The Ireland Israel Alliance opposes the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state as do so many others here in Ierland, including the vast majority of Ireland's beleaguered Jewish community. We believe that such a move rewards terrorism and that far from bringing a peaceful resolution to this tragic conflict, it will only further inflame tensions.
"Synagogues in this country have had to implement additional security measures in response to the outpouring of antisemitism, with many Jews and Israelis in Ireland fearful of publicly showing signs of their identity for fear of attack. Quite simply, where is the voice of reason? Where is the voice of moderation in Irish politics - who will raise the plight of the hostages, who will challenge the rise in antisemitism, who will refuse to support Palestinian terror?"
It continues: "A Solidarity March and Rally for Israel will be held in Dublin this coming Sunday 26th at 3pm. We will be joining ranks with a number of organisations including the Ireland branch of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, All Nations Church Dublin, TJCII, and the Irish Jewish and Israeli communities. Our rally will include key cross-community speakers including the newly inaugurated Chief Rabbi of Ireland, Yoni Wieder.
"Rabbi Wieder's speech will include personal testimonies from the Jewish community in Ireland who feel their viewpoint is being completely delegitimised by our political and media establishments, as well as their feelings of betrayal at being told that their feelings have no space in Irish society at this time.
"We hope you will join us. Meanwhile, we can only hope for better days ahead!"
