Met Éireann has extended a thunderstorm warning to almost every county in Ireland.

The national forecaster is warning that spot flooding and difficult driving conditions across the country this Tuesday, May 21, with heavy downpours and thunderstorms likely.

The new warning, issued at 1pm this Tuesday afternoon, covers all of Leinster and Connacht, as well as counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Clare, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford.

According to Met Éireann, potential impacts include difficult travelling conditions, spot flooding and poor visibility.
