National: Man due in court after suspected pipe bomb recovered in garda patrol

He is scheduled to appear before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court

While conducting anti-crime patrols in the Finglas area in the early hours of Tuesday, April 30, Gardaí attached to Finglas Station apprehended a male in his 40s and recovered a suspected pipe bomb.

The man was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a garda station in the Dublin Region.

He has since been charged in connection with the case.

He is scheduled to appear before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court this Thursday morning, May 2, 2024, at 10:30am.
