Two men arrested for over a dozen reported thefts from homes, cars and businesses

A man in his 50s and another in his 20s have been detained in north Dublin for a range of reported thefts, including power tools worth over €40,000

Gardaí have arrested two men in connection with over a dozen thefts throughout north Dublin last year.

The arrests relate to 14 separate incidents during 2023, including burglary, thefts from vehicles and retail related crime across the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) North Division.

Power tools estimated to be worth in excess of €40,000 were reported stolen.

The men, one aged in his 50s and the other in his 20s, are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in North Dublin.

Investigations are still ongoing.
