National: Man in his 20s due to appear in court after knife-point robbery

The man in his 20s has been charged and is set to appear in court this Monday after a knife-point robbery in Cork.

At approximately 12:35pm last Friday, one male entered a business premises at Kent Street in Clonakilty, threatened a member of staff and demanded cash.

A knife was produced during the course of the robbery.

According to Gardaí, this male left the scene shortly after with a sum of cash. No injuries were reported.

Gardaí have since issued an update, saying: "The man in his 20s has been charged and is set to appear before Bandon District Court this morning, Monday, 15th January 2024."
