ALERT: Swimming aid sold to hundreds of Irish parents recalled due to drowning risk

A child's swimming jacket sold to hundreds of parents in Ireland has been recalled due to a major safety risk.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the safety issue was detected in Swimbubs Float Jacket Buoyancy Aids sold on Amazon.

There are approximately 580 affected products in Ireland, which were sold between May 2019 and October 2023.

If you purchased one of these products please discontinue use immediately and keep away from children.

Affected products include the Swimbubs Float Jackets Blue Whale (ages 1-3, 3-6) and Swimbubs Float Jackets Pink Dolphin (ages 1-3, 3-6).

Details are below:

Amazon have emailed all customers who purchased the item and advised them to get in contact with Swimbubs directly.

This can be done by filling out the form within this link and providing your contact details so that Swimbubs may get in touch and organise a refund.
