Drivers face dangerous driving charges after car towed lorry on the M50 motorway

Two drivers are facing dangerous driving charges for their part in a jeep towing a lorry along the M50 motorway.

Gardaí were on patrol on the M50 this week when they received reports of a truck being towed by a jeep on the M50 and attempting to enter the Port Tunnel.

They were stopped and the vehicles seized for being dangerously defective.

Both drivers are due to appear in court for dangerous driving.

Social media comments praised the gardaí for apprehending the drivers, with several commenting that sulky racers on the route also need to be tackled.
