FIREFIGHTERS in Cork has attended three separate river rescue's today from the river Lee.
The first incident occurred at 9am this morning, Monday, when crews from Anglesea Street rescued a person from the river at Grenville Place. Swiftwater rescue trained firefighters entered the water to stabilize the casualty who was then lifted to safety by the Rescue Unit.
The second person was rescued from the water at midday with the Anglesea Street troop replying to the call again.
The final incident took place only an hour after the second person was rescued from the river at French’s Quay. Firefighters entered the water and safely extracted one casualty, who was handed over to the ambulances.
