A PRODUCT recall has been issued by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for a replacement charger sold online.
A safety issue has been identified with the Poukey Replacement Charger for Samsung Galaxy sold on Amazon.
According to the CCPC, the product presents a risk of electric shock and "does not comply with the requirements of the relevant safety standards".
The brand is Poukey. The ASIN number is B09YV4WVV2. The model number is YH-AD2501C. The barcode is X001K4MX4T.
The product was sold online through Amazon. There are approximately 55 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately. You may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to you, which can be done via your user account on Amazon.
