Motorcyclist killed in road collision in Dublin

A motorcyclist has died following a road collision in Dublin.

The incident, involving a pedestrian, happened shortly before 2.45am on Sunday at a roundabout on Whitestown Way in Tallaght.

The motorcyclist, a man in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pedestrian, also a male in his 20s, was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital, where his injures are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardai are appealing to anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.

Anyone with any information or camera footage (including dash-cam) is asked to contact Tallaght garda station on 01 666 6000, the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
