AFTER being in pain "for a long time", a pup is now thriving in her new home.
Peggy, formerly named Morag, was rescued by Ireland's largest dog welfare charity, Dogs Trust Ireland, after giving birth. Because of how badly she was injured, the pup had to be amputated.
Now, the charity says Peggy has found a new home - one where she gets all the snuggles she deserves.
Sharing the good news on Twitter, Dogs Trust Ireland, said: "Peggy is thriving in her forever home Her adopter says she loves her comfort & is learning to play with toys and teddies She is constantly looking for cuddles, & loves to greet & snuggle with visitors. She adores her walks, & splashing in puddles, & she loves treats!"
They added: "We’re so happy for Peggy. To go from a worried, shut-down dog, into a trusting, affectionate & happy lady is just the best thing ever. A huge thank you to our staff, Peggy’s adopters, & to all our supporters who were there for Peggy when she needed them most."
