RIP: Early afternoon crash turns fatal, claiming the life of one man in his 40s

A man in his 40s has died following a single-vehicle crash on bank holiday Monday.

Gardaí responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the N85 Ennis Bypass, Co Clare at approximately 12.40pm on Monday afternoon, June 3.

The male driver of the vehicle (aged in his 40s) was taken to University Hospital Limerick where he later passed away.

Gardaí arre treating the incident as a suspected medical emergency. This was the second fatal road collision in Co Clare during the June bank holiday weekend.

The coroner has been notified.
