Gardaí were shocked to find a motorist who had insurance, tax and NCT discs on display that were over 10 years out of date.
The driver was stopped at a checkpoint in Co Monaghan and subsequently had their car seized, after gardaí found the three discs to be dated from 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Social media users reacted as 'shocked', with gardaí publishing the news to X (formerly Twitter).

Describing the discs as 'vintage', people responded online by saying: "Shocking. Maybe they should pay insurance from 2011 onwards if they owned the car that long" and "A hat trick! Had they even got a licence?".
