Harry Blaney Bridge closed to high-sided vehicles as Storm Isha gathers pace

Across Donegal there have been reports of fallen trees and localised flooding

High winds see Harry Blaney Bridge closed to high-sided vehicles

The Harry Blaney Bridge.

With Storm Isha gathering pace on Sunday afternoon, Donegal County Council has closed the Harry Blaney Bridge to high-sided vehicle. 

The bridge spans Mulroy Bay, linking the Fanad and Rosguill Peninsulas. 

Motorisits are advised to take an alternative route and to avoid any unnecessary journeys. 

Eslewhere in the county, there have been a number of reports of fallen trees, including one on the Moss Road between Milford and Rathmullan. 

There is localised flooding in a number of areas, with the Finn Valley particularly hard hit.
