North Donegal community group to celebrate 40th anniversary
‘We will be looking for your ideas of what is working well at Ray Community Centre and also what improvements we could make in our offerings’
Ray Community Group is celebrating 40 years as a community organisation and plans to host a community celebration day on Sunday, August 16.
The group has some old videos to take a trip down memory lane that it will be showing on the day. “If you have any old photos to display on the day or other ideas please let any committee member know,” a spokesperson said.
“Who knows we might even revive a game of football!”
The group is also planning to carry out a community survey over the next month to support the development of its five-year strategic plan.
“We will be looking for your ideas of what is working well at Ray Community Centre and also what improvements we could make in our offerings. Keep an eye on local media for details.
”The community group is also planning a clean-up and has prepared the outside of the building for painting over the next few weeks.
“If we get a spell of good weather again we would appreciate any help from community members. If interested please contact any committee member.”
