Chilly with widespread showers, some turning wintery with hail and sleet in Donegal today, Wednesday.
Snow showers are also possible at times today, but will mainly be confined to higher ground. Highest temperatures of 3 to 5 degrees, but it will feel colder with an added wind chill from moderate to fresh northerly winds.
Cloud will increase overnight with further spells of showery rain, but it will stay cold. Again, it's likely some of those showers will turn wintery at times. Frost and icy patches are also expected to develop overnight. Lowest temperatures of -3 to +2 degrees in light to moderate west to northwest winds.
Thursday is going to be another frosty day with widespread showers in the morning, with some turning wintery. However, they will become more isolated early with plenty of clear and bright spells developing. Highest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees in light to moderate northwesterly winds, stronger along coasts.
