RAMP Festival will be in Rathmullan for the third time
The RAMP Festival will return to Rathmullan for its third installment from July 18-20.
Experimental music and sounds will be celebrated at the festival, showcasing artists from Ireland’s northwest and beyond.
The festival has been supported by Arts Council Ireland, Earagail Arts Festival, Contemporary Music Centre, and Rathmullan The Way Forward.
Featuring at this year’s festival, which will be set against the backdrop of Lough Swilly, will be Tim Cape & Maya Kadish, Kate Carr, Juno 3, Judith Hamann, Ryoko Akama, Rob Casey, Ailbhe Nic Oireachtaigh, and Electric Circus with David McCann.
Beyond concerts, festival-goers can participate in workshops and creative projects, including a collaboration between Aengus Kennedy, Guillaume Beauron, and Kate Carr, who will work with young composers on a field recording project that captures the unique sonic landscape of Donegal.

A statement from Contemporary Music Centre said they were “delighted to continue our partnership with Northern Lights Project in support of RAMP - Rathmullan Music Project.
“RAMP is a dynamic and engaging addition to the New Music annual events calendar in the north and northwest.
“Contemporary recognises and fully supports the important and vital work of RAMP in developing audiences for improvised and experimental music, and in showcasing the work of artists active in new music in Ireland, outside of the major urban centres on the island.”
